The Current state of the game
At 7:54PM on 1/31/2025, I was uploading the latest build of the game. Prototype V0.0.9. This build had music implemented, Doc’s office was an additional scene to visit, and a few NPCs decorated the town. However, at 7:56AM when i went to check the game on the itch age, I was greeted with an error message saying the game file was too large. I immediately scrambled to revert back to 0.0.8, which also had Docs office as a visible location, but at 7:58AM, I was looking at another error message. So with just seconds left in the JAm, I reverted back to Prototype V0.0.7, with no music, no NPCs, and a mistake that left Ted a larger sprite size when he was at home.
But at least we made it. Development will continue slowly as judging goes on, so that when I am able to upload to the page again, the game will be in a more enjoyable state.
Known issues:
- Ted sprite size is too large in the house scene.
- Gavel in the beginning is processed incorrectly on HTML5 play.
- The conversation in Ted's house is initiated twice.
- There is no music.
